- Description
- Justification and Approval The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the reconditioning/ rebuilding of Chillers #1 and #2 at the Central Energy Plant (CEP) to bring these chillers into compliance with the original Trane factory specifications and provide a comprehensive 5-year factory warranty on each unit. All warranties that are provided must be backed by the original chiller manufacturer in the event of default, bankruptcy, merge, takeover, or any other situation or condition of the contractor/ company that could have an adverse impact on any or all parts of the warranty(ies) or cause the conditions of the warranty(ies) to change. This backing must be in the form of a signed official affidavit letter from the original manufacturer stating that they will be responsible for performing all the warranty work in the event of any or all of the conditions stated above. Period of Performance: Work shall commence within five (5) calendar days of Notice to Proceed (NTP). All work required by the contract for both chillers must be completed within 90 calendar days of NTP.
