Background Information for the Event: The changing dynamic for Veterans in the 21st century mandates that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accomplish its myriad of missions more effectively and efficiently. Delivering the right services at the right time to this growing and ever changing population of Veterans will require: cutting-edge information technology, innovative and improved acquisition processes, a far-reaching transformation of the VA workforce, and end-to-end innovations in management. VA recognizes that our supplier community is a critical component to our success in meeting the challenges of supporting Veterans in the 21st century. The VA has embarked on a transformation of the end-to-end acquisition process that will capitalize on this industry expertise as an effort to improve our acquisition process as a whole. During the last year, VA collected feedback from the supplier community and from internal VA Program Offices about what is and what is not working with VA's acquisition and procurement processes. During this Webinar, VA will report summary findings from our feedback collection efforts and address what we have done, are doing and will continue to do in the future to address this feedback. II.
