- PROJECT NAME: Doug Ternes Wetlands Restoration MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $25,000 and $100,000. SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands through the Wetlands Reserve Program in Barber County, Kansas. Work will include mobilization and demobilization, seeding and mulching, chemical weed control, earthfill, and excavation. QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 7.5 acres of seeding and mulching, 14.4 acres of chemical weed control, 14.4 acres of seeding (cover crop), 14.4 acres of seeding (Upland Easement), 1,280 cubic yards of earthfill, and 9,203 cubic yards of excavation. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 36 work days, assuming 10-hour work-days and 5-day work weeks. Tentative date for posting the solicitation packet is February 22, 2011, with bid opening on March 24, 2011. A site showing will be arranged prior to the bid date. Details will be provided in the solicitation package. Prospective contractors must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number.
