- Western Area Power Administration intents to negotiate a sole sourcecontractunder the authority of FAR 6.302-1 41 USC 253(c)(1), and under commercialservices IAW the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12 and 13.OSISoft developed the proprietary software system which is part of theSupervisory Control Data Acquisition (SCADA) that has been used for thelast 24years by various offices within Western Area Power Administration. OSISoftisthe only known source of supply and in order to maintain our present systemandallow users to visualize SCADA systems status and to notify SCADA Personnelofimpending systems problems it is imperative that these services continue.TheNorth American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this is 511210andthe business size standard is $25 million. The contract is to supply thefollowing: OSISoft (PI) Software Reliance Support and Maintenance IAWattachedspec. This notice is not a request for quote/proposals. However, allinterested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by emailingtheContract Specialist, Kevin P. Mullen at mullen@wapa.gov or by faxing 970461-7377, no later than 10th of February 2011. Any information receivedwillbe considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct acompetitive procurement. Information hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm MST,Mondaythrough Friday.
