- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD intends to issue a modification to contract N00421-10-D-0001 to increase the scope of the current effort. The Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract with Research and Engineering Development, LLC procures research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) efforts in support of Irregular Warfare projects. This support includes rapid prototyping processes and techniques, as well as traditional engineering processes to quickly create tangible prototypes of target designs and system interfaces. The intended scope increase will provide the contract ceiling necessary to build upon the development, assessment and evaluation tasking currently ongoing under the contract. The work described in this synopsis is expected to be ongoing for approximately two years. The estimated value of the contract modification is $30M. The Government expects to develop a performance specification that will support competition for future acquisitions of the same services. It is anticipated that a competitive solicitation for the follow-on procurement of these services will be made available in approximately August 2011.
