Description
This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. The RCO Stuttgart, 409th Contracting Support Brigade (Europe) has a requirement for planting trees. Proposed landscaping measures require the planting of trees on U.S. installations in Stuttgart (Kelley Barracks, Patch Barracks, Panzer Kaserne and Robinson Housing Area). The contractor will be provided maps showing the exact planting locations in a timely manner. The contractor shall provide all supervision, manpower, machines, equipment and materials necessary to plant trees and shrubs. All planted trees shall be updated in the existing access tree data base as well as in the existing maps (Arc View GIS). The access data base and the maps will be provided or made available digitally by the employer. Planting work shall be performed in April/May and November/December. It is estimated to plant about 95 trees/shrubs per year. Period of performance shall be for one (1) Base year of 12 months and two (2) 12-month option years. Base Year: 14 March 2011 through 13 March 2012, Option Year 1: 14 March 2012 through 13 March 2013, Option Year 2: 14 March 2013 through 13 March 2014. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Solicitation No. W912PE-11-T-7005 will be issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 0851, business size of $7.0 Million and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 561730. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about Monday, 7 February 2011 at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (0711-729-4140), or e-mail. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. Anticipated award date will be on or around 2 March 2011.
