- Attachments 1 - 9 Solicitation Package Solicitation Document SF 1449 The Military Sealift Fleet Support Command Ship Support Unit San Diego has a requirement for the deactivation of the USNS SHASTA (T-AE 33). The requirement includes five work items; Work Item 102 - Industrial Assist for Deactivation; Work Item 401 - Gyro Removal; Work Item 402 - Radar Removal; Work Item 403 - GMDSS Removal; and Work Item 404 - COMM/ELECTRONICS Removal. The successful offeror will provide labor, material and services to assist with equipment removal/electronic equipment and parts removal from various pieces of equipment prior to deactivation. This procurement and services required under N40443-11-T-0056 is solicited on a 100% small business set-aside basis under NAICS 336611 for MSRA or ABR qualified Marine Industry contractors. Services will be performed while the USNS SHASTA is located at Naval Base, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Contact Port Engineer for ship check date prior to bid. The period of performance for this requirement is anticipated to start on/about 25 February 2011, with an estimated date of completion of 8 April 2011. The closing date and time for the solicitation is 15 February 2011 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time. Once solicitation is posted, it can be viewed on the FedBizOpps website or in the Contracts Section of the MSC Website. Instructions for downloading solicitation from MSC website is as follows: type in http://www.msc.navy.mil/ in your browser. Click on Contracts at the upper right hand corner of screen, click on Active Request for Proposals, click on MSC Office Location, click on Military Sealift Command Pacific San Diego, click on Search. Look for the solicitation number and click on RFQ/RFP number. Follow the instruction for downloading the solicitation.
