- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-11-T-7300 and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48, effective 30 DEC 2010. NAICS code 336611 applies. This is a small business set-aside. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Norfolk, VA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Oldenburg Group for USNS MERCY for the following services: The requested period of performance for the below service is 01 March-15 March 2011. STATEMENT OF WORK: Provide services of OLDENBURG LAKESHORE INDUSTRIES specialized in shipboard lifeboat davit and winch equipment and systems repairs for inspecting all ten (10) lifeboat davit and twelve (12) liferaft winches for USCG COI. A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, hardware, staging if required and tools to accomplish this work. Ship's tools shall not be used during this work. 2. Contractor shall submit MSCREP "as found conditions" report with recommended actions via email. B. STATEMENT OF WORK: 1. Test run and inspect all ten (10) lifeboat davits and twelve (12) liferaft winches. Open and inspect, clutch, gearbox, brake assy and all ancillaries. 2. Adjust and make minor repairs as necessary to make all ten (10) lifeboat davits and twelve (12) liferaft winches work IAW OEM instructions 3. Demonstrate USCG and MSCREP all davits and winches work properly.
