- The Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) will host a Science and Technology (S&T) Industry Day at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in Bethesda, MD, on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The SWE S&T Industry Day is an opportunity for the Navy and Industry to discuss the S&T needs in support of the SWE. The agenda includes keynote remarks from Rear Adm. Jim Shannon, the SWE Chief Technology Officer; Mr. Brian Persons, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Executive Director; Rear Adm. Nevin Carr, Chief of Naval Research (ONR); and Dr. Larry Schuette, ONR Director of Innovation. The event will also include a panel of S&T experts who will outline specific technical areas for industry to collaborate with the Navy as well as a poster session that defines S&T objectives in support of the SWE. Navy subject matter experts will be available to discuss SWE related technology areas. The SWE S&T Industry Day is open to U.S. citizens of large and small businesses, DoD organizations, and current or potential DoD contractors. Seating for this event is limited. As such, we request that each attending organization limit the number of technical experts attending. Presentations and story boards will be made available following the Industry Day. Advanced registration is open now. Registrations will not be accepted after April 5.
