- Pre-Solicitation Repair Turbine Generator #2 Eielson AFB, AK 99702 The work consists of the contractor furnishing all engineering, labor, equipment, and materials to perform the work required, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. The following is a summary of work: inspect, clean and repair the turbine-generator at Clear Air Station Central Heat and Power Plant (CH&PP). The Turbine-Generator is a 7.5 KW General Electric steam turbine - generator set. Serial Number : 133629. Prepare technical notes and tear-down/repair reports. Situation: During the Turbine's latest overhaul and inspection, it was found that the Turbine is unsafe to operate until major repairs to the rotor and associated assembly are accomplished. Therefore, the contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, supplies, certifications and transportation as required to accomplish the tasks outlined which are in support of the overhaul of the Turbine generator, serial number 133629, at Clear Air Station, Alaska. The resultant contract will be firm fixed price. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237130 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This acquisition is being solicited under a 100% Small Business Set-Aside competition conditions IAW FAR 19.5, Small Business Set-Aside. THIS SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS ARE PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET ONLY. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program.** The solicitation will be available on or about 17 Feburary 2011. A solicitation mailing list will not be maintained for this procurement, all solicitation documents will be available electronically and it is the responsibility of the offeror to register for notification of updates to this procurement via this web site.
