- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Cochran Undersea Technology, 1758 Firman Drive, Richardson TX 75081-1823 for the acquisition of 400 each of a Identification Plate, P/N 6914843-REV*B. This procurement is sole source for the following reason: NAVSEA OOC4 has added this Identification Plate to the Approved for Navy Use (ANU) list for diver equipment. This item has been successfully tested and qualified, substitutions of similar components are not authorized. Cochran Undersea Technology is the only authorized source. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541512, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Department of Defense will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/. Award will be based on a fair and reasonable price on or about 02/16/11.
