- Public Works Dept Gulfport & ROICC Keesler are hosting a Safety Symposium on March 8, 2011. The symposium will provide a venue for us to discuss continuous improvement with regard to safety performance. NAVFAC Southeast provides Engineering support to the Warfighter, including major and minor construction, A/E design, environmental and facility support services. It is the goal of this event for NAVFAC Southeast to share its philosophy, commitment to safety, measured goals, and utilization of source selection and performance evaluation. Dialogue will be pertinent to both prime contractors and their associated subcontractors while working on Navy installations. Topics to be addressed include: OHSA Regulations, Subcontractor Safety Factor, Fire Systems Safety, Near Miss Reporting, Safety as Source Selection and a Question and Answer session with the Public Works Officer. The event will be held from 08:30 AM to 3:30 PM (CST) at NCBC Gulfport, Training Hall, Bldg. 446 Marvin Shield Blvd, Gulfport, MS 39470 Who should Attend: Any contractors currently working or if interested in contracting opportunities with NAVFAC Southeast should attend this conference.
