Description
A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a) small business, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Replace the Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System at Fort Campbell High School (FTCHS), including demolition and disposal of existing HVAC equipment and power circuitry and installation of new HVAC equipment, environmental controls, and power circuitry. Replace the existing lighting at FTCHS from the fixtures back to the first junction box with new higher efficiency lighting. Replace 2' x 4' ceiling tiles, grids, support systems including miscellaneous gypsum board work and associated painting, repairs to the SBS roof where new penetrations are made for the new mechanical units, vents, ect., and painting of new and existing piping on the interior of the building. Replace existing bitumen membrane roof with new PVC Roof. Replace Fire Alarm System at FTCHS, including fire alarm control panel, duct mounted devices and duct work. Contract duration is estimated to be 450 days and with an estimated cost range is between $5M and $10M. However, the current target ceiling for this contract is closer to $5 Million. NAICS Code is 236220. Size limitation is $33.5M. All interested Small Business, HUBZone small business, 8(a) small business, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before 15 February 2011, 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1)Identification of the company as a Small Business and if applicable, the type of SBA program(s) (HubZone, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Veteran-Owned Business, etc.) as appropriate. (2) Past Experience should describe completed projects that are similar or larger in size and scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work, how that was accomplished, demonstrate the ability to complete a project in one construction season without prolonged impact to airfield operations and the performance rating for the work. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include: School and Office building construction and renovation projects, HVAC replacement projects at schools and office buildings, and projects involving working in occupied space. Projects of similar dollar value will include: at least $3 M (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for the project in the dollar range listed above, (4) A statement verifying the contractor will self-perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished.
