Description
Chiller #1 at the Hopi Health Care Center is a York Air Cooled Reciprocating Chiller that has two refrigerant compressors that do not function. The Contractor shall be responsible to provide two new compressors. The Chiller is Model # YCAZ77CB-46PA, Serial # SDHM-49410. The existing compressors each provide 35 tons of cooling with 480V, 3-phase motors. The Contractor shall close suction and discharge valves to the compressors, recover and recycle the refrigerant from the compressors per EPA regulations, disconnect electrical service, remove the existing compressors, set the new compressors in place, reconnect electrical service and service valves, change the filter driers, check the compressors and filter canisters for leaks, return the recycled refrigerant to the system, then start the chiller and check operation per manufacturers' recommendation. Complete the manufacturers' service report and deliver three (3) copies to the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR). The Contractor is responsible to remove all project-related waste material and construction debris, which must be disposed of off the Reservation at a RCRA-approved landfill. Under no circumstances will the Contractor be allowed to use open dumps. The Contractor is to coordinate work with the Hopi Tribal Employment Rights office (TERO), Phone 928-734-3167. The Contractor is responsible to pay all applicable Local, Tribal, State, and Federal taxes that may be incurred as a result of this project. Solicitation will be issued on or about February 4, 2011.
