- Synopsis: The work consists of providing outside contract services including all materials, labor, and equipment to demolish two existing storage cages and provide two new modular customer offices in the interior of Building 912 (C1/C2 Test Areas). Modular offices shall be single level, complete with HVAC, electrical, and communications. Work includes a fire alarm and detection system designed and installed by a Fire Protection Contractor licensed in the State of Tennessee. Work includes connection to existing electrical and communication systems. Site visitation is very strongly recommended to ensure the Contractor has full knowledge regarding the work sites and equipment required to comply with the project specifications. The proposed location of the new modular offices will be cleared of customer items by the Government and ready for select demolition and installation. All work shall be performed at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The estimated construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period shall be up to 90 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Bids will be due 30 calendar days after issuance of the solicitation. A firm-fixed price contract is to be awarded from this requirement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with business size of $33,500,000.00. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web page at http://www.fbo.gov estimated on 11 February 2011. Proposal due date will be on or about 14 March 2011. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please register as a source to be notified of RFP Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of the contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
