Description
This document provides the exact part numbers and quantities required for this RFQ. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 11EN220-028; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-47, Effective 13 DEC 2010. The Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition & Procurement Office is requesting quotes for the following on a brand specific basis for the purchase of renewal Software and Hardware maintenance for F5s BIG-IP Load Balancer. Maintenance must cover currently installed BIG-IP Load Balancer software. Please see the Attachment A - Product list. Justification for other than full and open competition (Brand Name Justification), per FAR 6.302-1.: F5 Software and hardware maintenance, Big-IP, has been implemented by the Office of the Secretary of Defense – Chief Information Officer (OSD-CIO), and the use of another application could result in increased training costs, increased hardware and software configuration, and increased technical support. Evaluation: FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999): (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1: Lowest price technically acceptable. Additional Information: 1. Quotes must be firm-fixed-priced, and include all quantities listed, all or none. 2. Period of Performance: 11 MAY 2011 - 10 MAY 2012 The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition.
