- US Army Corps of Engineers, Army Geospatial Center (AGC) is the lead organization responsible for acquiring services in support of the Spatial Data Standard (SDSFIE) for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment. The SDSFIE provides a common format for the development of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS). The SDSFIE is a user-friendly, web-based standard for use with commercially available off-the-shelf GIS and Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software. It supports all aspects of management of facilities and installations, including environmental, site, and engineering planning. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine if there are sources capable of satisfying the government's requirement for SDSFIE support services. NO PROPOSALS are requested or accepted under this RFI. Feedback addressing the clarity, feasibility, scope and potential alternative means of meeting the government's requirement is sought. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 541512. The business size standard is $25.0M. Your response should identify your business size (large or small) in relation to this NAICS code. AGC is assessing the existence of sources and is requesting capability packages from industry on the requirements below. Responses must be limited to no more than 10 pages and must address the following areas: (1) knowledge and experience related to coordination of standards development with recognized standards bodies; (2) knowledge and experience with standards-based tools for geospatial database designers and administrators that facilitate creation or migration of geospatial databases that align with relevant data architectures; (3) knowledge and experience in developing and delivering and documenting logical and physical data models to support integration and fusion of geospatial and other data from multiple sources with approved data dictionaries and standards; (4) knowledge and experience in developing geospatial services and web enabled architectures in a government hosting environment. Interested sources are encouraged to submit product literature in response to this RFI. Any submission of such product literature or 'catalog cut sheets' will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Proposals (RFP). AGC will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 23 FEBRUARY 2011, 10AM.
