- Description
- The Army Geospatial Center, Contracts Office intends to award a Sole Source, Fixed Price, Contract to Honeywell, Inc. for a one-time software upgrade and maintenance of an existing Intrusion Detection System (IDS) located at the Army Geospatial Center (AGC), under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). As the designer/manufacturer of this automated intrusion system, Honeywell is the only contractor able to upgrade the software and perform monthly preventative maintenance and emergency service for continued analysis and evaluation to meet inspection standards of IDS zones and alarm equipment criteria as prescribed in Annex B of DCID 6/9. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is 2 February 2011.
