- Sole Source Justification TO PROCURE Membership in the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) for one base year plus options for two additional years. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) oversees the creation, promulgation and use of thousands of norms and guidelines that directly impact businesses in nearly every sector from acoustical devices to construction equipment. In the USA, ASA is the only ANSI sanctioned group with authority in developing these acoustical standards. It is essential that the Air Force has an influence on ANSI standards which affect the methods in which acoustical performance is measured. NAICS Code 813410 Size Standard $7.0 Mil. This is a Sole Source procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is Acoustical Society of America, Incorporated, 2 Huntington Quadrangle, Melville, NY 11747-4503. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
