- All Questions are to be posted along with answers. The follwoing questions and anwers are being provided: 1) Is there a desired spec on the floor tile? The only desired spec on the floor tile is that it be cermaic tile to prevent water penetration. 2) Will the floor tile go down before the walls are installed? It makes sense to put the tile down first, then put in the partition walls, but the contractor can figure that out. 3) At some locations the walls will intersect or split the light fixtures and HVAC grills. Will the contractor be responsible for relocating them? The contractor isn't responsible for relocating any lights or other ceiling fixtures. However, it became evident at the site visit that some HVAC diffusers may need to be pushed up just to fit the walls. 4) Will exit lights be required? Exit lighting will not be required from the contractor. 5) Will emergency lighting be required? Emergency lighting will not be required. 6) Will new lighting be required? New lighting will not be required. 7) Will new light switching be required? New light switches will not be required. 8) Will existing light fixtures need to be moved if over new walls? Existing light fixtures do not need to be moved by the contractor. 9) Will fire alarm be required? Fire alarm and switches will not be required. 10) Will receptacles be required in new walls? Electrical outlets in the new walls will not be required. Existing electrical on outer walls will remain. 11)The old floor will be torn out and replaced with the ceramic tile. 12) Per Appendix "A" the contractor installed partition walls are to have doors. Please verify if the contractor is to install these doors. If so is there any direction on door type, material of construction, frame type, and hardware schedule? Will the contractor be required to "key" the doors for the end user? If a door or hardware schedule is to be provided we ask that you provide adequate time for pricing after it is used. A: Doors must be provided and shall be 36" with metal frame and door construction. Hardware provided must be for industrial use but does not require to be keyed for the end user. All installation must meet OSHA requirements.
