- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on behalf of and as an agent of the Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA 797-11-RP-0061 for portable Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) to provide temporary power in the FMS workspaces. The Federal Medical Station (FMS) Electrical Distribution System shall be a portable, free-standing power system designed to distribute 33kva of 120VAC temporary power to various areas of a FMS during emergency response operations. The contractor will deliver 220 assembled and packed kits in accordance with the following schedule: -EDS Kit 1: 20 per month beginning 45 days after contract award (Total Kit 1 quantity “ 195) 20 (first nine months and 15 (tenth month) -EDS Kit 2: 10 delivered 45 days following contract award. - 10 delivered 60 days following contract award. - (Total Kit 2 quantity “ 20) -EDS Kit 3: 5 delivered 60 days following contract award (Total Kit 3 quantity “ 5) -EDS Kit 3, Augmentation items: 5 delivered 90 days following contract award. Solicitation No. VA 797-11-RP-0061 will be electronically issued on or about February 9, 2011 in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 with a closing date of Mar 9, 2011. The NAICS code for this procurement is 335311. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
