- Draft PWS for review by vendors. The Region 5, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is soliciting feedback from Information Technology vendors in developing the next Performance Work Statement (PWS) for IT services. The Region 5 EPA Information Technology Support Service (ITSS) draft PWS will be posted online for industry review and feedback opportunities between January 25, 2011 and February 7, 2011. The purpose of this request for information is to find opportunities to streamline government services with commercial practices. The general purpose of the ITSS contract is to provide the full range of IT services to Region 5, which includes computer and network monitoring, information technology maintenance, help desk services, database creation and administration, network security services, and telecommunication maintenance support, among other services. Feedback on the draft PWS for the ITSS acquisition should include comments/suggestions for improvements, which will be considered when creating the final PWS prior to solicitation release. When acquiring the services, the Agency intends to award to a Small Business Administration 8(a) program participant under NAICS 541513. All comments and questions for feedback shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sara Losos via email at losos.sara@epa.gov. Vendors may be contacted for clarification if the Government determines a need for further information exists. Responses to this RFI are limited to 4 double-sided pages. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This is a Request for Information in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e) to obtain information for planning purposes. The RFI is not a request for competitive proposals, therefore responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government will not pay for any materials or other expenses incurred in response to this announcement, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. All information received will be safeguarded from unauthorized disclosure. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
