- J&A #10-450C The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ requires repair services for the A/M 32C-23 Landbased Air Conditioners (LBAC), which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with John Bean Technologies Corp. (JBT) located in Ogden, UT. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, JBT is the sole designer and manufacturer of the LBAC and the technical data rights are proprietary to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The government does not possess the technical data rights to compete the requirement. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, the government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. The contract was awarded to John Bean Technologies on 19 January 2011.
