- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Vocus, Inc., 4296 Forbes Blvd. Lanham, MD 20706, for software broadcast fax services. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) "Soliciting from a Single Source." Vocus Inc. provides broadcast fax services. The VPS software code is proprietary and SSA is not aware of any authorized re-sellers of these specific software broadcast fax services. The period of performance is 12 months. Vocus Inc. is the only source known to the Government. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price delivery order. Interested parties that feel they are capable of performing the preceding requirements must present electronic written documentation evidencing such capability. The documentation must include a discussion of how the software would satisfy the proposed requirements, contact information for no more than three (3) customer references, and, if applicable, associated GSA Schedule price information. The Government will neither pay for information received nor provide evaluation results to the sender. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for offers. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intent to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, SSA will proceed with sole source negotiations. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing to Scott.Marko@ssa.gov. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
