Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for marine probes with embedded sensors and A/D conversion with required calibration and training to support evaluation of Circulation Control Bow Plane (CCBP). The procurement will have a period of performance from the effective date of the purchase order through six (6) months thereafter. This procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 “ Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The set-aside for small business concerns has been dissolved. The NAICS code is 334511. The proposed contract action is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Aeroprobe Corporation. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Aeroprobe Corporation has the ability to provide these probes in accordance with the Navy requirements with all required calibration and on-site training and support. Award to any other source would result in excess costs to the Government that are not expected to be recovered through competition and would result in an unacceptable time delay. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation will be released because of the intent of the Government to issue this award on a sole-source basis. However, all responses received by 9 February 2011, at 02:00 PM will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to Lorri Loveland by e-mail at Lorri.Loveland@navy.mil or by fax at (301) 227-3476 on or before 9 February 2011.
