- Project Title: Renovate Viera Veterans Affairs (VA) Clinic, (Repurpose) Project Number: 675-11-170 Project Description: This is a pre-solicitation announcement by the DVA, Acquisition Service Area Office East 8 for Project Number 675-11-301 titled Renovate Viera Veterans Affairs (VA) Clinic,(Repurpose) . The work shall be performed at the Viera Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic located at 2900 Veterans Way, Viera Florida 32940-8007. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) is seeking an eligible Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractor to provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform construction at the Viera VA Outpatient Clinic. The contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition of walls (in selected areas), removal of existing flooring and wall coverings where applicable. This project will require construction to (but not limited to) the following areas of the Clinic: B-Wing, Mercury, Dental Clinic, Dark Room, Discovery, Home Based Primary Care, Health Care for Homeless Veterans, Canteen, Volunteer Offices, Physical Therapy and Engineering Office. Construction work will be in accordance with specifications and drawings provided by the Orlando VA Medical Center Engineering Department. To all interested parties, it is anticipated that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about February 9, 2011. The Government contemplates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from the solicitation. It is anticipated that this will be a Design-Build Construction Project using the two-phase design build selection procedures. This procurement is a 100% SET-ASIDE to eligible Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The size standard is $33.5 million. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, disclosure of the magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Details of all dates and events, including site visit will be available in the solicitation. Interested firms are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all solicitation documents and/or amendments to the solicitation. Therefore all interested firms should re-visit the Federal Business Opportunities website periodically to look for any updates or amendments.
