- Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to complete project 607-09-118 Remodel Physical Therapy & Prosthetics at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital, Madison, WI. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for renovation of the Physical Therapy and prosthetics wing located floor B2 as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to: demolition, general construction, interior alterations and finishes, glazing, electrical and telecommunication wiring, medical gas, plumbing and HVAC. This construction project is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation will be issued on/about February 14, 2011 with bids due on/about March 14, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 545 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101. In accordance with the class deviation to 804.1102 Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database effective October 1, 2010, all SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program. If the successful bidder is not listed as verified in the VIP, the CO must contact the bidder and advise the bidder that it has 5 days to submit the verification documentation to CVE. CVE will process the documents and make a verification determination within 21 days of receipt of the documentation. SDVOSB or VOSB also must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible to receive an award under the program.
