Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions-Neuroscience, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition (SS/SA) on behalf of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source, noncompetitive basis to GE Healthcare for a maintenance contract for a 3.0T HDX Twinspeed 16 Channel( GE system ID: 301496MR3T5MR) and 3.0T HDX Twinspeed 16 Channel (GE system id: 301496MR3T6MR). The Classification Code is J-Maintenance, Repair & Rebuilding of Equipment and the North American Industry Classification Code is 811219 – Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The business size standard is 7.0 million dollars. The Period of Performance is 3 months. There is an option for an additional 9 months. The Contractor shall provide InSite/Technical Phone support, iCenter Maintenance Reports, Parts Delivery, and software updates. GE Healthcare is the manufacturer of the above stated equipment. Only GE service personnel are authorized to perform service and maintenance on their equipment. GE does not authorize any third party for service/maintenance of their equipment. The acquisition is being conducted using FAR Part 12, Commercial Items and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
