- The contractor is to provide materials and labor for the Federal Public Defender, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The scope of work consists of office modifications for ballistic doors, window and wall system. All work will be done after hours and on weekends. The work will include selective demolition for the installation of a new Level III ballistic material for the walls, doors and reception window. The contractor is to provide all materials not previously mentioned, labor, equipment, tools, management and supervision as required and needed for the completion of this project. The contract will have 90 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Estimated cost is $0-$100,000. The contractor will be required to obtain a GSA security clearance for all individuals working on site. If you are interested in bidding this project respond by email no LATER THAN January 26, 2011, to kathy.routson@gsa.gov with your company name, contact person, address, phone number, fax number, Tax ID and DUNS number. You MUST state the Solicitation number of GS-06P-11-TN-C-0021. Proposal packages will be mailed to interested parties after that date. There will be a walk-thru of the project. The exact date will be noted in your proposal packet. All proposals submitted must allow 60 days for GSA acceptance. THIS REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE AN AWARD. According to FAR 4.11 ALL contractors MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration [CCR], www.ccr.gov and Online Representations and Certification [ORCA], https://orca.bpn.gov, before having their bid evaluated.
