- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Small Disadvantaged or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction of a replacement Hospital at Fort Knox to modern clinical and operations standards. This project will provide new inpatient care, emergency medicine, clinical support activities and Central Utility Plant. Vacated medical facilities will be demolished. Supporting facilities include utilities, site improvements, parking, access roads, and environmental protection measures. The project will be designed in accordance with criteria prescribed in DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-510-01, Evidenced Based Design principles, DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings UFC 4-010-01, barrier-free design in accordance with DoD criteria and the DEPSECDEF Memorandum "Access for People with Disabilities" dated 10/31/2008, and applicable energy conservation legislation. Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, Comprehensive Interior Design (CID) Design During Construction (DDC) will be provided. This is a Department of Defense Medical (DODM) project which will be advertised Subject to Availability of Funds (SAF). Contract duration is estimated at 924 Days. The estimated cost range is between $250,000,000 and $500,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 01/20/2011 by 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - describe completed projects that are similar in size and scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work, how that was accomplished and the performance rating for the work, (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for the project in the dollar range listed above, (4) a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished.(4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed.
