Description
PR Number(s): FD20301071917Item: 0001NSN: 2995015404818PR MDECP/N: 2123M24P04, Description: DIM: 16"L; 13"W; 6.5"H; 35LB WT; MATERIAL:HOUSING IS DIP-BRAZED ALUMINUM; FUNCTION: CONTROLS ALL VARIABLEENGINE PARAMETERS Item description is a Turbine Engine Supervisory Control Unit; (MDEC). Item function is as follows:The DEC directs engine manipulated variables; acquires and monitorsengine parameters, executes system fault detection and isolation. Italso communicates with the airframe and ground support equipment, andexecutes other functions as provided by the resident applicationsoftware. The DEC interfaces with components of main engine controlsubsystem, augmenter control subsystem, engine monitoring system (EMS),and aircraft. The following functions are performed by the DEC: 1 Limits maximum fan speed (NF) in primary and secondary mode. 2 Provides maximum core speed limit, accel and decel schedules, full fanspeed control, HPT blade temperature (T4B) limit, and minimum andmaximum CDP (PS3C) limit control. 3 Includes logic necessary to automatically switch to a hybrid orsecondary control mode by sensing a failure in the primary controlsystem. 4 Limits minimum core speed. 5 Controls fan IGV position. 6 Controls core VSV position. 7 Controls augmenter fuel ratio units (WFR/PS3). 8 Provides a self check and logic to indicate a failure of theelectrical control. 9 Schedules nozzle area roof and floor. 10 Controls fan discharge pressure ratio (Delta P/P). 11 Coordinates exhaust nozzle and augmenter fuel flow transients. 12 Provides the logic necessary to automatically control high energymain and augmenter ignition. Provides logic which develops and sequencessignals to provide transition between nonaugmented and augmentedoperation regimes. 13 Provides signals to the EMSC that are required for engine and controlsystem fault isolation. 14 Provides electrical excitation for linear and rotary variabledifferential transducers (LVDT and RVDT) and also the T2 sensor, flamesensor, and T4B pyrometer. Quantity: 35.0000 EA Destn: FMS COUNTRIES. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(ii), All responsible sources may submit acapability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be consideredby the agency
