- Description
- This is a modification to a previously issued pre-solicitation announcement. This is for sources sought. An FDA-licensed, AABB-accredited blood supplier is required to supply the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 135 East 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504 with blood and blood components for transfusion services. Supplier must agree to regularly maintain a mutually agreeable and adequate inventory level of blood and blood components to meet routine and emergency needs of the VA Medical Center. For additional requirements of blood and blood components, the supplier will have an established mechanism in place to meet the VA Medical Center ™s blood supply need. Routine blood and blood component delivery will be made regularly to the VA Medical Center as needed to maintain inventory level. For emergency blood and blood component needs, the supplier will provide delivery within one (1) hour of notification by the VA Medical Center laboratory. Anticipated Period of Performance is for a one (1) year base period with four (4) option periods, for a total period of 60 months. The Contractor shall perform during the base year, from date of award through 2015. The NAICS code will be 621991 for this solicitation, and the acquisition is unrestricted to any set asides. Complete electronic solicitation has not been issued as indicated in previous announcement. Responsive/responsible vendors must be registered in CCR and must be certified as required by VA (if VOSB or SDVOSB).
