- Scope of Contract - The scope of this contract is to accurately maintain property boundary lines and/or property corners on the White Mountain National Forest. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to perform the work. This will be an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base year and 4 option years. Location and Description - The project area is the White Mountain National Forest in the States of New Hampshire and Maine. A great deal of the land is mountainous and access is limited. The areas to be maintained are existing property lines that were surveyed and marked to standard ten or more years ago. Quality of previous surveys and their records may vary considerably from very good to poor, depending on the age since the original survey. Work Description - The work is maintaining Forest Service (FS) property boundary lines and corners and consists of: Property Line Maintenance: A. Clearing out brush and debris along FS property lines and near property signs so that they may be easily seen. B. Maintaining property signs and sign posts. C. Repainting Forest Service blazes along the property line. Property Corner Maintenance: A. Clearing brush and debris around the property corner and bearing trees. B. Repainting and remeasuring Forest Service bearing trees and other reference objects. C. Recording work done and monument information for each corner. A full solicitation package with specifications will be uploaded to this site on or around January 20, 2011.
