- Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis number W911SG-11-S-0111. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE as the Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Bliss, TX is performing Market Research to determine the availability of potential 8(a) small business firms for a potential 8(a) small business category set-aside. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Potential 8(a) firms having the skills, experience, and capabilities necessary to perform the described requirement are invited to provide feedback via e-mail. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Bliss, TX is seeking sources interested in a possible contract to provide Grounds Maintenance Services. The contractor shall provide all qualified personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, quality control, and other items and services necessary to perform grounds maintenance services located anywhere needed on the Fort Bliss Installation. Services will be provided in a manner that will maintain healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants presenting a clean, neat, and professional appearance (the number of maintenance cycles required per month will depend on the growing season). This contract will include control/removal of weeds and other unwanted vegetation as needed to maintain a professional appearance. The contractor must be able to comply with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards and requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561730 Landscaping Services, the size standard is $9.0 million, and the Federal Supply Code is S208, Landscaping/Grounds Keeping. All interested 8(a) firms are invited to provide the following information for your company and provide examples of experience on projects from Department of Defense, State, and Local agencies that are similar in scope. Capability statements should not exceed five (5) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number, CAGE code, dollar amount of the company's annual receipts, and state the size of your company in terms of personnel; 3) 8(a) Small Business Certification: and 4) A description of capabilities and similar services/experiences offered to Local, State, and Federal Government and commercial customers to perform the requirements identified in this Sources Sought. Responses are due no later than 1200 EDT, Friday, 21 January 2011, and shall be electronically submitted to gerardo.sosa@us.army.mil. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
