- The US Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center, Rock Island, IL, on behalf of the Office of the Program Manager for the 2nd/185th Aviation Regiment, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources that are capable of maintaining and operating the Udairi Airfield, located in Kuwait for one year beginning 19 May 2011 and ending 18 May 2012. DynCorp, Intl. is the current contractor at this location. This contract is due to expire 18 May 2011. It is mandatory the successful contractor have the capability to perform the requirements of this contract to include, but not limited to the following: airfield operations, fire fighting and fire protection support services, emergency life support, and equipment and vehicle maintenance. The purpose of this market survey is to notify the public that the follow-on acquisition strategy is currently being analyzed and determined. This one year contract award will allow enough time for the final strategy to be decided and executed. Interested sources shall provide a summary of their company's capabilities, name/address/point of contact information, and whether the company is a large or small business. This market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The Government will not reimburse any respondent for any effort or information submitted in response to this sources sought. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status. The contract shall provide all information requested in this notification within 15 days of this publication by electronic mail at no cost to the Government, to kristin.k.wright@us.army.mil. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey.
