- This is a revised pre-solicitation notice for project no. 623-10-102, Upgrade Passenger Elevator P6 at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, Muskogee, Ok. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). All certified SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. If your firm is not legally designated as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, you are not eligible to bid on this project. This procurement classification under NAICS Code is changed to 238290 and has a size standard of $14.0 million. The cost estimate range for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The work consists of construction services to completely prepare site for construction operations, including furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to complete all the work for demolition, general construction, plumbing, mechanical and electrical construction, as well as additional services required to complete the upgrade of P6 elevator. Contractor will need to provide on site and off site instruction and training, maintenance and inspection services as specified and required within the specifications of this project. This includes the removal of the existing machine, controller, generator, hoist cables, governor, tail sheave, governor cable, deflector sheave, hoist way doors and door equipment and upgrading this elevator with new motion drive traction elevator in accordance with the latest National Elevator Codes, ADA, and NFPA requirements and contract specifications, to include Manuals on the specific type of microprocessor controls and wiring diagrams of all equipment and other items requested in specifications. The existing elevator shall retain existing machine beams, main and counterweight rails, buffers, counterweights, entrance frames, sills, hanger supports, strut angles, fascia plates, sling, platform, and cab. The space conditions and the execution of this project shall proceed with minor interference of the operations of the medical center and shall comply with all general requirements of the contract for infectious control issues, utility interruptions, fire protection and other safety requirements of the contract. Contract shall be completed within 120 days of Notice to Proceed. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for 2:00 pm on 19 Jan 2011. Only bidders attending the mandatory site visit will be eligible to receive an award from this solicitation. Specifications and drawings will be uploaded on or about 14 Jan 2011. Specifications and plans will be available for download from the fedbizopps site http:fbo.gov. Amendments to this solicitation will be posted at the fedbizopps website. In order to receive email notification of amendments, you must register in fedbizopps to receive notification of amendments. Bidders are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the closing of the response time.
