- The William Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC located at 6439 Garners Road Columbia, South Carolina intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered VA247-11-RP-0084 for project # 544-11-100 entitled 'Halls & Walls - Design Build' on or about the week of January 24, 2011. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS ww.fbo.gov. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 236220 with an applicable small business size standard of $33.5M. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 185 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. There will be a pre-bid site investigation for this project and all prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site visit will be included in the solicitation package. Offerors are advised not to contact the Contracting Officer to schedule a pre-bid visit. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until a RFP is issued. Offerors are instructed not to contact the Resident Engineer directly. Questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The contracting officer will not maintain a bidders mailing list. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor information. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in accordance with FAR 2.101,VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in CCR and in the VetBiz databases prior to award (Note: Effective October 1, 2010, all solicitations issued in accordance with the Veteran's First Contracting Program requires all contractor's be VERIFIED by teh Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization's Center for Veteran's Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program). The scope of work for this project is to provide design build services to provide two (2) additional patient prescription pick-up windows for the pharmacy department; provide one (1) additional teller window for the travel voucher payout activity; construct two (2) customer service/counseling offices for pharmacy department. The design and build shall utilize the VA Master Specifications and Design Manuals/Guides found at www.cfm.va.gov/til/spec.asp. Other codes and standards are current editins of NFPA, OSHA, NSF and IBC.
