- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 9) has a requirement for on-going facilities construction, alterations and repair of buildings, structures and other real property throughout VISN 9. The intent of the project is to award an Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract for each of the medical facilities within VISN 9. Multiple awards will be made for the following facilities: Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Lexington VA Medical Center, Huntington VA Medical Center, Memphis VA Medical Center, James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Nashville VA Medical Center and Murfreesboro VA Medical Center. The type of work to be performed will be general construction. The resulting contracts will not have fixed unit costs. All work will be completed through individual task orders awarded for individual projects throughout the medical centers identified within VISN 9. Each task order will be priced individually and will include its own wage determination. The term of the IDIQ contract will be for a two year base period from the date of award, with two (2) one (1) year options to extend. VISN 9 intends to award two (2) contracts at each of the medical centers listed above. The solicitation, specifications and plans will be available for download on or before February 28,2011. NAICS code 236220 is applicable to this project and the size standard is $33.5M. This procurement will be set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses pursuant to 38 U.S.C section 8127(d). This project will be procured pursuant to FAR Part 15 and FAR Part 36. Additional information regarding the specifics of the Source Selection Process and Technique will be available at such time that the solicitation is released.
