- This Source Sought Notice (SS) is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Bureau of Reclamation. The purpose of this SS is to identify qualified sources capable of performing the work described herein. The US Bureau of Reclamation, Denver Office, Acquisitions Operations Group is performing a market survey to determine if there are any interested and qualified sources supplying underwater electrical pulsed pressure generating systems conventionally used for seismic surveying (i.e., electrical sparkers). Basic salient features include an integrated field deployable system with short duration source pressure pulses (~ 1ms), variable magnitude (up to ~ 220dB re 1Pa @ 1m) and frequency (PPS < 100) control, deployable to depths < 200 m, long life electrodes, and source pulse repeatability. Interested parties should include the following information in their response: (a) Business name, address, DUNS number, size classification based on North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334519 and the related small business size standard of 500 employees, socioeconomic classification (i.e. HUBZone and/or 8(a)), and a point of contact; (b) sufficient product literature to demonstrate the proposed product meets the above salient characteristics; (c) Evidence of successful deployment and use of the proposed equipment in the federal or commercial market including customer point of contact information. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice, by e-mail to rbrackett@usbr.gov no later than close of business on January 21, 2011.
