- Insulate the side and top of a 5,000 bbl barrel welded steel produced water tank. The tank is located at NPR-3 (Teapot Dome oilfield), 35 miles north of Casper, Wyoming. The work consists of applying 2 inches of spray-on insulation on the wall and top of the tank. The temperature of the surface when covered will be 200 ?F. Presently the tank is at ambient temperature. A tan sealing coating will be applied over the spray-on insulation. The tank is 36 feet in diameter and 24 feet tall. There are numerous taps on the tank ranging from 2 to 10 inch diameter, a cleanout door and a spiraling stair. The roof has 6 inch I-beam supports from the center of the tank to the edge. There is a 2 inch vent and a thief-hatch.Bidders may review the tank upon request. Bidders will be responsible for determining all material requirements and measurements. The bid price shall include all materials, labor and transportation to do the insulation.
