- The Department of Veteran Affairs Central Office (VACO), Washington DC, intends to award a sole source contract non-competitively to Society of Nuclear Medicine, Reston, VA under FAR 6. 302 -1, for creation and provision of an agreed upon test image, aka 'Phantom' ( i.e. Lumbar Spine Phantom, Chest Tumor Phantom, and Cardiac Phantom,) suitable for testing on gamma camera at VA facilities and those non-VA facilities performing imaging studies on VA patients (estimate 135 total Phantoms per year). Guidance and technical support for proper imaging of the phantom, and for reporting of results. The NAICS code is 621512. Interested parties with the capability to provide the required services should submit a capability statement in writing to the Senior Contract Specialist within seven (7) calendar days after the initial publication of this notice. If no responses are received to the effect that this service is available from an alternate source, a contract will be awarded to Society of Nuclear Medicine.
