- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bruce W. Carter, Miami VA Healthcare System Medical Center, 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, Florida 33125, will be soliciting proposals to provide design, all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to Improve Life Safety Corrections Phase III, Project 546-11-111, in order to fire seal all penetrations in facility Buildings 1 & 10. A life safety assessment from a previous project will be provided as part of the solicitation package. A list of defects and corrective actions required are the main scope of the project; however, additional life safety defects discovered during the course of this work that are within scope of this project will require corrective action. Request for proposal VA-248-11-RP-0098 will be issued on or about February 28, 2011. The Government will use best value source selection in accordance with FAR 15.101 and intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. A pre-proposal site visit will be scheduled and noted on the solicitation. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. All offerors are responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the Federal Business Opportunities website without further notification from the Contracting Officer. The Magnitude of this project is more than $100,000,000. NAICS Code 236220 described as Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and size standard $33.5 million applies. This is a 100% set-aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and Online Representations and Certifications Applicable (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. SDVOSBs must be verified by Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) to be eligible for award http://www4.va.gov/vetbiz/vip/verify.htm and be in compliance with VETs 100 reporting http://www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fcp/main.htm.
