Description
Inspection Booth Heaters Synopsis: The General Services Administration (GSA), New England Region, North Service Center, Invitation for Bids for the Installation of Self Venting Propane Fired Inspection Booth Heaters. Currently there are five (5) inspection booths, one (1) at each of the locations listed below, tempered by electric heaters; disable the electric heaters while maintaining the ability to use the A/C portion of the unit, if applicable and provide and install five (5) new, wall hung, direct vent, propane fired furnaces, one (1) per location. Provide and install new wall hung, direct vent, propane fired furnaces with a minimum 20k BTU output. Provide and install supply piping from the existing tank location to each of the booths where the work is to be done. Piping will be installed so as to minimize possibility of damage. Piping will be install along the top of the exterior of building. Piping will be installed with adequate number of mounts to ensure safe and secure installation. Provide and install an additional tank to facilitate the increased demand from the new heaters. Disable the electric portion of the existing heaters to ensure that the only heat source in the inspection booth is from the new propane heaters. The contractor shall be responsible for compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations. Inspection Booth Locations at the following US Border Stations: 7823 W. Berkshire Rd., West Berkshire, Vermont 705 Province St., Richford, Vermont 357 Glen Sutton Rd., East Richford, Vermont 84 Main St., Derby, Vermont 115 Vermont Route 147N, Norton, Vermont The solicitation will be posted on or about January 5, 2011 with bids due on January 21, 2011. A site visit will take place on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at the US Border Station, 705 Province St., Richford, Vermont for any contractor wishing to review the project and site conditions. This procurement is set aside for 100% Small Business. Estimated cost is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about January 5, 2011.
