Description

NAICS Code: 334516- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Air and Radiation's National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Advanced Measurement Technologies, Inc. (AMETEK). The estimated value of this procurement is approximately $35,900. The purpose of this purchase order is to obtain one, eight chamber alpha spectroscopy detector assembly in order to maintain analytical capacity at the NAREL in Montgomery, Alabama. This purchase will replace aging equipment that is beyond economical repair. The required items are hardware components of a highly specialized analytical system that also includes proprietary software that both controls the hardware components, and analyzes raw data generated by the hardware components. AMETEK is the only vendor that can provide secured undergroun d parking in that location. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334516. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA?s requirement as stated herein may submit a capability statement, which if received within eighteen (18) calendar days of the date of this announcement will be evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
