Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to place a sole-source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with The Boeing Company of Jacksonville, Florida, 32215 (Boeing), for the supplies and services necessary for the fabrication, repair, installation, modification, test and other support of aircraft components, avionics, and associated ground equipment for F/A-18 & EA-18G aircraft. Additionally, Boeing will be responsible for the inspection and correction of unknown discrepancies found as a result of the inspection, and other services to include the removal, replacement, repair, refurbishment, modification, or support of the aircraft such as manufacturing, engineering, over and above (O&A) repairs, logistics support, and program management. The required start date is 1 October 2011, and the projected period of performance for this effort is a base period of 12 months, with two (2) option periods of twelve (12) months each. Boeing is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft in its various configurations and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise, tools, processes, facilities, and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish this effort within the projected timeline. Any interested party must have the knowledge, expertise, tools, processes, facilities, and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish this effort within schedule requirements. Any respondent must also submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate respondent's ability to perform to the Government's needs within the required response time.
