- Description
- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole source contract to Thomson Reuters (Markets) LLC for the provision of Lipper on-line access to current and historical information on mutual funds in order to satisfy the SEC's need for constant, electronic, real-time, comprehensive mutual funds data. Effective January 1, 2011, this award may be issued with a base year and four one-year options. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Thomson Reuters (Markets) LLC is the only known source that possesses the historical capability, meets the Commission's requirements for reports, including the ability to download without limitations on the quantity of data, and to customize reports to display only bottom line summary totals, without the underlying data. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this service. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. This is a Notice of Intent, not a solicitation. No solicitation will be issued for this sole source requirement and no other information will be provided.
