- This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information advertisement only. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal. This request does not obligate the government in any contract award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is conducting preliminary research to determine the market capabilities (both large and small) to support the Design Build of an elementary school (Pre-K through 5 th ) consisting of classrooms, computer labs, gymnasium, multipurpose room with stage and kitchen, information center (library) and administrative offices. The school will incorporate advanced communication systems to support technology program requirements, as well as general communications. The project scope will include utilities, parking, bus loading/unloading area, playground, sports facilities, signage, fencing, landscaping and security lighting. The estimated cost for this project is $20M. All interested firms with 236220 as an approved NAICS code have until 2:00pm, 15 December 2010 to submit the following information: - Name & Address of your Firm - Point of Contact (name/phone/email) - Business Size: [If a Small Business identify certifications if any, (i.e. 8(a), Hubzone etc.) In addition, your firm must also have an office in Region IV (GA, AL, NC, TN, MS, FL, KY, SC)] - Bonding capability-both single and aggregate, as evidenced by submission of Surety Company letter stating bonding capacity. Provide evidence of capabilities in general construction and/or Design Build of elementary and/or middle schools on three recent projects (not more than five years old). Include the project name and description of the key/salient features of the project (i.e., square footage, multi-story, secure facility, phased renovation, etc.), completion date, total contract construction value, whether it was design-build or construction only, and your company's level of involvement in the project.
