- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPPORTUNITY FOR THESTAND ALONE MISSIONS OF OPPORTUNITY NOTICE which was posted on August 18, 2008.On or about December 3, 2010, the following amendments to the Explorer Science Missionsof Opportunity solicitation and the Explorer U.S. Participating Investigatorssolicitation will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage athttp://nspires.nasaprs.com/.Amendment No. 8 to the NASA Announcement of Opportunity Stand Alone Mission ofOpportunity Notice (NNH08ZDA009O) will be posted at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ (select Solicitations then Open Solicitations then NNH08ZDA009O).With this amendment, the NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Announcement ofOpportunity (AO) NNH08ZDA009O, Stand Alone Missions of Opportunity Notice (SALMON)Appendix H7: Explorer 2011 Science Missions of Opportunity, is amended to (a) refineEducation and Public Outreach requirements and (c) refine proposal page countrestrictions and guidance.Amendment No. 24 to the NASA Research Announcement (NRA) Research Opportunities in Spaceand Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2010 (NNH10ZDA001N) will be posted athttp://nspires.nasaprs.com/ (select Solicitations then Open Solicitations thenNNH10ZDA001N).With this amendment, the NASA Research Announcement NNH10ZDA001N, Research Opportunitiesin Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2010 Appendix E.7: Explorer U.S. ParticipatingInvestigators, is amended to clarify requirements in Section 2.2.3, Duration of Awards.Questions may be addressed in writing or by e-mail to the Explorer Program AcquisitionScientist: Dr. Barbara L.
