Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Cengage Learning, Inc. 10650 Toebben Dr, Independence KY 41051-5100 to acquire customized revisions to South-Western Federal Taxation and Corporation, Partnership, Estate, and Gift Taxation (2011 edition), by Hoffman, Raabe, Smith, Maloney, and copies of the affected chapters. This vendor is the publisher of the text and owns the copyrights to the material.“The proposed contract action is for a deliverable for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for quote. However, written response to this synopsis may be submitted to be received by this office within 5 days of this announcement. Such response should include sufficient documentation to establish capability, by the respondent, to fulfill the requirement. Documentation must establish your rights to edit and copy the publication. Written responses will be used to determine if this acquisition will be made competitive. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.”
