- Industry Day Attendees Industry Day Tour Script Industry Day Base Tour Route Kirtland AFB BMC Industry Day Briefing held 28 Oct 10 Industry Question/Comments and Gov't Responses to BMC Draft RFP THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO ADVISE INDUSTRY OF A CHANGE TO THE SOLICITATION NUMBER OF THE KIRTLAND AFB BASE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT (BMC) EFFORT AND TO RELEASE THE INDUSTRY DAY BRIEFING AND RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS/COMMENTS SUBMITTED BY INDUSTRY IN RESPONSE TO THE POSTING OF THE BMC DRAFT RFP ON 06 OCT 10. The BMC solicitation number will change from FA9401-09-R-0005 to FA9401-11-R-0003. The reasons for the solicitation number change are as follows: The original solicitation number was assigned to this effort in Fiscal Year (FY) 2009. As a result of the extended time spent on this effort to date, the Government's FY's have change over from FY2009 to FY2011, therefore, the solicitation number FA9401-09-R-0005 will be revised to FA9401-R-11-0003. Also, due to this requirement being determined to be a Commercial Service, the model contract form will change from a Standard Form 33 (SF 33) to a SF 1449. The contract will be awarded using Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and FAR Part 15 clauses and their supplements. In addition, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center PKOC, is releasing the BMC Industry Day briefing slides, held on 28 Oct 10, and the Questions/Comments submitted by Industry in response to the FBO posting of the BMC Draft RFP on 06 Oct 10. All future postings to FBO for this requirement will utilize solicitation number FA9401-11-R-0003. The final BMC RFP is currently projected to post to FBO in the Spring of 2011. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION.
